U Schnellů Hotel is a family hotel that is located in a very heart of a Prague historical center on Malostranske Square, just five-minute walk from the Charles Bridge. This mainly Gothic building with Renaissance add-ons, formerly known as U Zlatého čápa, remembers a lot. In 1787 Tomáš Schnell, a merchant, purchased the building, which was named after him. Immediately after he acquired the building Tomáš Schnell had gone ahead with the renovation works and in 1811 he performed the principal reconstruction under the leadership of Josef Zobel, the master builder (1744 - 1814). At that time the building acquired its Classicist architectural look.
The hotel has 13 double-bed rooms and one family apartment. All rooms are stylishly furnished. Each room has a TV set with satellite reception, safe, telephone, internet connection (wifi) free of charge, bathroom with WS and a hair dryer.
In the building there is a well-known old Prague restaurant that has been serving its guests from time out of mind and which has offered its services to many famous visitors.
